A recent study performed by the research team at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center has found that people with a higher intake of Vitamin E tend to be far less likely to develop lung cancer. The study was based on dietary intake of one of the two main groups of the vitamin and its subsidiary varieties. It was discovered that participants with the highest daily intake of Vitamin E yielded a 55% less risk of lung cancer in relation to those with the lowest intake. Many fruits and vegetables tend to be excellent sources of Vitamin E, so if you tend to be a health conscious person to begin with you’re probably already ahead of the game. Otherwise, it is far from difficult to adjust your dietary habits to include more vitamin rich sources of nutrition such as asparagus, avocado, green leafy vegetables, nuts, olives, seeds and wheat germ.
